Background
Chateau Lauriol is a wine produced by Chateau Puygueraud, with
the youngs vines of the property. 100% Merlot, it has its own modern
style, marked by a fine aromatic and a remarkable freshness.
Build on the fruit, it is a enjoyment to drink now or to keep a few
years.
Terroir
Limestone-clay on clay, with marl and limestone rock subsoil.
Vineyard
Traditional soil management: light ploughing and aeration
of the soil with inter-row planting of cereals in the autumn.
Gradual introduction of biological prevention against diseases and
pests. Numerous manual interventions: de-budding, leaf-thinning.
Sorting of the berries on reception of the harvest.
Vinification
In stainless steel and concrete tanks, gentle extractions and protection of the juices to preserve the fruit.
