Since 1895, the name of Cheval Noir is one of the oldest of the region of Bordeaux. Purchased in 1937,
Cheval Noir is the first estate of the Mahler-Besse family whose domains, among the most beautiful of the Bordeaux region, currently span Haut-Medoc, Saint Emilion and Saint-Estephe appellations.
Tasting notes
A fine, elegant wine with silky tannins, and flavours of red fruit and cinnamon.
Ageing
Traditional, in tanks and oak barrels.
Food pairing
This wine's balance and concentration make it the perfect partner for prepared dishes, poultry, and white meats.
